The Home in Veternik is the educational-scientific basis of the Faculty for Special Teachers in Belgrade, Department of Psychology and Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad. The Home co-operates closely with these institutions. It also co-operates with other scientific and institutions of high education, such as the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad and its Institute for Cattle Breeding, Institute for Field and Vegetable Crops and others. The competent experts from the above-mentioned Institutes elaborated project documentation related to production of food, crop growing and animal husbandry in the Home in Veternik.

The Home has a very good co-operation with the Zoo's in Belgrade and Subotica.

Specially trained staffs of the Home participate actively in activities and projects of similar institutions, homes and special schools.

Special teachers, pedagogues, psychologists, physicians, physiotherapists and other specialists of the Home in Veternik participate in specialised seminars, conferences and meetings.
