Projects in preparation

Within the future period the projects that have already been elaborated need to be finalised and there are only some of the funds guaranteed for them from the Government or the donors ... They are:

• construction of the fence around the Home as the existing one has largely decayed and is mainly out of function
• reconstruction of the sports terrain with the tribune
• renovation of the hall for physical education
• renovation of the warehouse
• covering of the recreation pool with ceramic tiles
• renovation of floors in all the buildings which were constructed in the previous period
• to install the central heating system in the pavilions where heavily mentally retarded protégés are accommodated
• installation of solar collectors in the residential buildings
• construction of the mini cattle farm
• construction of the fish pond (surface of about 1 ha)
• construction and planting of heated garden beds
• construction of the mushroom growing facility

Projects that have been carried out within the last 10 years

1992:

• the boiler's room has been reconstructed and equipped
• the boiler's room and the kitchen have been gasified
• two wells were constructed and equipped (one with the drinking and the other one with "technical" water)
• the health centre was renovated, as well as the club and the head office space
• the existing sanitation facilities were reconstructed

1993:

• the kitchen was thoroughly reconstructed
• the existing sewer system was rehabilitated, and so were the pump stations and "biodisc" for biological treatment of waste water
• electric installation system of the Home was renewed
• a number of concrete paths were constructed as the connection between the pavilions and terrazzo floor coverings in the pavilion "B"
• the existing building in the vicinity of the boiler's room were renovated and are now used for breeding of chicken, pigs and other animals
• the environmental friendly mill was bought and installed

1994:

• the facilities for accommodation of completely immobile and semi-mobile protégés were completely renovated
• construction of a new building, connected with the pavilion "B" by means of "heated" connection, as well as of the sanitation unit with booths, wardrobes and showering hall; the sanitation unit for the employees was also reconstructed in this block
• smaller intervention centres were equipped in the pavilions
• renovation of the hairdresser's salon
• construction of the bakery with the accompanying premises
• construction of the open pool for recreation and therapy needs of the protégé [Photo gallery]
• the space used for work and accommodation of the disabled protégés in the pavilion "B" was renovated and equipped
• construction of the reception hall functioning as the main reception, operator's office, waiting room and the art gallery
• construction of a smaller size building near the gate of the Home functioning as the "boutique" where works of children are sold; the trained protégés are working in it
• the central clinic of the Home, which includes the doctor's office, nurses' room, laboratory with pharmacy and dental clinic, was renovated in construction sense;
• reconstruction of sanitation facility in the pavilions A-1 and A-2
• renovation of the old pavilion "A"
• in co-operation with the Nature Conservation Association of Vojvodina 3,5 ha of the Home's land were planted with trees
• the prefabricated building used for the accounting-financial department was renovated from the foundations up to the roof
• construction of the fountain in the central part of the Home, with a marble sculpture representing the symbol of Home's activities (the work of Laslo Silagy, a sculptor from Novi Sad)

1995:

• about 2500 square metres of the space were asphalted: paths, parking lot, central part, sports terrains
• the ground and the first floor of the pavilion "B" used for accommodation of mobile, moderately mentally retarded protégés were renovated
• renovation and equipping of the day-care centre at Novo naselje used for daily accommodation of children living in their families

1996:

• reconstruction of the large dining room building in the pavilion "B": plumbing, sewer system, cast floors, lighting etc.
• reconstruction and equipping of the sanitation vertical in the pavilion "B"
• rehabilitation of floors in 10 ground floors rooms of the pavilion "B", along with carpentry repair, painting and whitewashing of walls
• a new PVC carpentry in all bedrooms was installed in the old pavilion "A"
• construction of the front-entrance in the pavilion "C" and reconstruction of two sanitation facilities

1997:

• adaptation and equipping of the dental clinic
• reconstruction of the sanitation block in manufacturing workshops
• extension of the existing premises used for cattle breeding
• construction of roads and putting of fence for the cattle farm
• regular repair of the boiler's room
• partial adaptation of the roof in the pavilion "C"
• redecoration works in the pavilions "B" and "C"
• construction of the surface hot water pipeline from the boiler's room to the pavilion sub-stations
  

• replacement of the roof covering above the part of the pavilion "A" and above the kitchen
• repair of machines in the laundry unit
• regular repair of vehicles

1999:

• sanation of damages of bombardment on many of the building during the second half of the year (window glass, roof repair etc.)

2000:

• the hot water boiler was replaced in the boilers' room
• the steam boiler in the boiler's room was repaired
• regular repair of machines in the laundry unit
• commencement of construction of the pavilion "C"

2001:

• completion of construction of the pavilion "C" called "Hannelore" Centre
• the building of former slag plant was renovated and it now contains the mini-slaughtering plant with complete equipment and a cold storage facility, the volume of which is 10 tons
