The specialised staff and people of different profiles involved in rehabilitation of physically and mentally handicapped children and young people in the Home in Veternik include more than 230 employees in several sectors. Treatment in the Home is organised on the basis of a family principle, namely with the aim to substitute family surroundings to the highest possible extent. This enables faster and easier adaptation to conditions in the Home, to friends from the educational group and to the staff. This also helps to develop the acceptable forms of behaviour and contributes to the optimum development of a child.
